![]() After paying WAY too much for inadequate food and service I do have my answer about the billboard's claims. I guess I can't blame the employees when this is the example they have. Without a word he walked away, sat down and started to eat. His answer (never stopping from shoveling food on his plate) was that it was late, I should of expected it and come earlier and it was only salad that was taken so he didn't see a problem. And the pièce de résistance? I happened to see a MANAGER doing the same thing as his employees and shared with him how I felt about what our experience was. Now I'm assuming that a meal at the end of the night is a perk for them and that's fine, but to take food out of customers mouths? To not wait until the last guest has had their fill? At no time was there a last call given for the buffet that most every other place I've been to gives when it is late. And you make us eat cold food? But the worst thing I saw was when I went out for one last serving of a specific food, I saw the employees filling up their plates, competing with paying customers for whatever was left on the buffet. There were still between 10-20 tables in the restaurant still eating. Really? Even if you are closing, this is ridiculous. Some of the hot food this time around was much cooler and when I mentioned it, my husband said he'd noticed they'd turned all the heat off on the hot buffets. Mostly salad stuff, but since I was going back for that very thing, it was frustrating. Not changing them out, but taking things away. We'd gotten our first plates, finished them and went back for seconds when I noticed the employees were removing things. It wasn't the food that made me write a poor review for this place, but the service. What I was able to have before things went awry was delicious. I will say that in normal circumstances for the most part the food would probably be good. We were told how things worked and we prepared to enjoy ourselves. (we realized they were shutting sections down a bit later.) Our server was nice and friendly-the high point of the employee interaction. We were welcomed in, told nothing about them closing soon, but were stuck in the back about as far away from the buffet as you could be while they cleaned other areas. But we do that often on our travels and have always been given the courtesy of letting us know how much time we had before closing. ![]() Let me say right up front that we got there later than normal dinner time.
